Knife Sheaths Custom made Olde World Style
Throwing Knife Sheaths These are my throwing knife sheaths that I made for myself. I usually throw Cold Steel Mini-Flight throwing knives, but I had nothing to carry them in. I used to use some old, thin scrap leather and wrap them in it, then tie the bundle to my belt. Needless to say, this was not a practical solution. The time came when I had to design my own thowing knife sheath. I decided a cut-out sheath with a decent leather thong friction lock would do the trick, thus, this sheath was born. This sheath will hold up to three knives, or just one, depending on how many I want to carry on my person.at an event. SO far, everyone seems to like these. My next sheath will either be a forearm bracer style for throwing knives and/or an inner calf sheath for the same, so check back!
Double and Triple Throwing Knife Sheaths Here are two of my latest designs. The double knife sheath is made of 4-5oz leather with oiled latigo straps that are tied in place around the outside of your boot, just over your upper calf. One knife rests in each pocket with the tips being buried in a leather welt sewn in on the inside of the sheath pockets. The triple knife sheath is a drop leg design made to hang from your belt and tied once around your upper thigh through a steel ring. Yes, these are for throwing knives and as you can see in the triple knife sheath, my knives are pretty beat up. I use them almost every day! With this drop leg design, I can actually carry 6 knives (2 in each pocket) and I still love the cut-out design so that I can see my knives.
